Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide with the sequence Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys. It belongs to the growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) class and binds the ghrelin receptor in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Comparative pharmacology literature describes it as one of the cleaner GHRPs, in the sense that it triggers growth hormone release without meaningful elevations in ACTH, cortisol, or prolactin.
Mechanism of Action
